I feel my body sigh
As the warmth of the sun
Melts, through that which has
Bound her tightly through
These brutal winter months.
My body held fast
Tight, and ready for battle
As she navigated this
Deep dive into the shadows
Sitting in darkness
Even, when parts of her
Screamed to swim to the light
Even when she yearned for the light
Before she was ready
She held fast.
And now she is ready
And the sun
The sun gently seeps
Through the layers
Of my body
Soothing her
Warming her through
Softening all that held tight
Within her
For this battle, is no more
And she sighs with relief
As she returns to the light.
Love Always ♥️
