And the Christ light shone down on planet earth, illuminating every single part of her
Seeping through her cracks and her crevices, burrowing deep down through her layers
Right into her heart, right into her core and lighting her up, from the inside out and the outside in.
And she glowed
She glowed with the light of billions of stars
She glowed with the light of love
And her land that was seeing and feeling so much darkness, became light
And so too, did all her beings, all her souls, all of humanity, became light.
And the people, they turned their faces up to the sky and the light sparkled like diamonds in their eyes
Their gaze was one of wonder and awe, as every breath they took, the light filled them more and more
Weaving lights of love through their cells
Right into their hearts, right into their core
Some knew of this light, and some knew nothing of it at all
Yet all were filled, not a single soul was left untouched by the light.
And the animals, the animals, they already knew!
They had been patiently waiting for this glorious golden endless shower of pure bliss
And the woodland animals danced and scampered in circles of joy, and the whales pirouetted and the dolphins raced by, and the birds drew love letters of light in the sky
And the wild animals came together in great numbers too, as they paid homage to the light and the love that they knew, had been here for centuries for me and for you
And the cats and the dogs, all domestic animals too, opened their hearts filling themselves anew
For their mission on earth, was to help the people to hold the light, for more than just a moment or two.
And all beings on earth glowed
They glowed with the light of a billion stars
They glowed with the light of love
And the land that was seeing and feeling so much darkness became lighter and lighter
As the earth and all of her beings, one by one, shone brighter and brighter
And there it was, for a moment or two, the world and her children, shining, the most beautiful golden hue.
Yes this light is for Christmas, yet it is so much more
It's every day living, it's everyday loving, it's everyday shining, deep from our core.
And the light continued to shine on the earth, in the hope that we'd absorb its beauty and worth
And the animals, they helped the earth to hold this glorious light, as they effortlessly shined brighter than bright
For they understood the part that they played, in elevating the earth and lighting the way, for humans to see, in the hope that the blinkers dissolve for the likes of you and me.
And now it is time, time for the people to play their part
No matter how big or small, each one matters, each one affects the all
Each thought, each action, ripples through our core, each one chooses, will it be love or will it be war
And when the people start to realise and answer the call, this light is for Christmas, yet it is so much more
Then humanity will glow united as one and the earth she will thrive, when the darkness is done.
